💡 One Word

Everyone writes a one-word clue — but matching clues cancel out! Guess together.

A team game: everyone plays together against the deck. One player guesses, the others help with clues.

How a round goes

• The guesser does not see the mystery word. Everyone else sees it and secretly writes a one-word clue (with 3 players — two clues each).

• Matching clues cancel each other out! “Paws” and “paws” both burn, so try to be original.

• A clue cannot be the word itself or contain it (“sunflower” for “sun” is not allowed).

• Quick check: the helpers can cross out clues that break the rules (same root, a translation, a made-up word) and then show the rest to the guesser.

• The guesser has one try — or may pass.

Scoring

• Correct: +1 point.

• Wrong: you lose this card and the next one from the deck.

• Pass: you lose only this card.

• If the answer is right but misspelled, the helpers can still count it.

Guess at least half of the deck to win as a team. All 13 — legendary!
