Get a situation, write the funniest answer, vote for the best one. Anonymous until the votes are in.

A party game about jokes. Each round you get a situation, everyone writes the funniest answer they can, then the table votes for the best one.

How a round goes

• The chooser (it passes around the table) picks one of three situations. 15 seconds, otherwise the first one is taken.

• Everyone, the chooser included, writes an answer of up to 80 characters on their phone. When everyone has sent theirs, the game moves on right away.

• The answers are revealed one by one, anonymously. Read them out loud! The host can pause or skip ahead.

• Everyone votes for the funniest answer. You cannot vote for your own.

• Then the authors are revealed. Every vote is 1 point; in the last two rounds, points are doubled.

Tips

• Some situations mention a player by name. Be nice… ish.

• Short and unexpected usually beats long and clever.

• Turn on the TV screen: situations and answers look great big.

Memes mode

• Instead of text, answer with a picture: a GIF from the search or a photo from your phone camera or gallery, plus an optional caption on top or at the bottom.

Whoever has the most points at the end wins, and everyone gets a fun title.
